El Paeller Vegan Wood-Fired Paella Base
A pantry staple in Chef Katie Button’s home! This wood-fired paella broth is rich, flavorful, and bursting with a depth of flavor to enhance any rice dish.
We use half a kilo of selected fresh vegetables for each liter of broth, guaranteeing exceptional flavor and quality with the European Vegan Food certificate guarantee.
The broth is prepared from over two pounds of veggies, including young garlic, white cabbage, turnips, leeks, and carrots, as well as an assortment of 100% natural ingredients made without any industrial processes, preservatives, or additives. Just classic Mediterranean ingredients are expertly cooked with care. Vegetables are sauteed until golden brown for maximum flavor and then cooked low and slow a la leña (over the fire) for added smokiness and depth. After 30 minutes of resting over the fire, the broth is canned immediately to ensure all those rich, smokey flavor notes and natural nutrients are preserved and guaranteed with a European Vegan Food certificate. There are no traces of animal products or seafood here, just an extra flavorful vegetable base! (We won’t judge you if you add your favorite cooked protein to the mix.)This broth is an excellent base for a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including ideuàs, rice dishes, stews, and squats, and it is not just for Paella.
