Meet Your Instructors

Chef Ángel Palacios

Originally from Barcelona, Chef Ángel Palacios brings decades of experience in professional kitchens and culinary education. He trained at the Manresa Joviat Hospitality School and spent formative years cooking at three-Michelin-starred Martín Berasategui and the legendary El Bulli. His cooking style balances deep respect for traditional Spanish ingredients with precise, modern technique.

In addition to leading Michelin-starred kitchens in Madrid and Miami, Ángel has shared his knowledge as a professor at the Basque Culinary Center, one of the world’s most respected institutions for culinary training. His talent for teaching makes him a natural fit for Cúrate Test Kitchen, where he breaks down complex recipes into techniques that home cooks can truly learn and apply.

Chef Katie Button

Chef Katie Button is a James Beard Award-winning chef, cookbook author, and the founder of Cúrate Bar de Tapas and Cúrate at Home. Her culinary journey began in the kitchens of José Andrés and Ferran Adrià, where she developed a deep appreciation for traditional Spanish cuisine rooted in technique and storytelling.

As host of From the Source on Magnolia Network, Katie explores regional foodways through hands-on cooking and conversation. Her ability to connect with both ingredients and audiences makes her a natural teacher. At Cúrate Test Kitchen, she shares practical, approachable instruction that helps home cooks master Spanish recipes with confidence.
