This collection of unique spice blends from friends at Spicewalla–developed in collaboration with some beloved members of our local culinary community–celebrates this little mountain town we all hold dear and honors a few key organizations that provided crucial aid after Hurricane Helene. With every purchase, Spicewalla will donate $15 to Blue Ridge Public Radio, MANNA FoodBank, and Homeward Bound of WNC, all of which stepped in with vital support when disaster struck. A perfect gift, the collection supports vital services, and invites you to bring a taste of Asheville into your kitchen.

The Made with Love in Asheville Collection brings together ten distinctive rubs, seasonings, and standout spices created by Asheville’s top chefs, roasters, butchers, and makers. Our contribution, the Cúrate Pincho Moruno Rub, offers a smoky, savory profile inspired by Spanish street‑food skewers.

Each set comes with a beautifully designed cookbooklet providing clear, approachable instructions from each contributor so you can recreate their dishes at home and taste some of Asheville’s top dishes in your own kitchen!

Blue Ridge Public Radio, MANNA FoodBank, and Homeward Bound of WNC share a commitment to community care. Here’s how they answered the call:

  • Blue Ridge Public Radio shifted into 24‑hour emergency reporting in late  2024, delivering life‑saving updates on food, shelter, and other essentials in English and Spanish. They were a vital resource for us here at Cúrate that allowed us to provide accurate information for our staff on local developments and resources. Now in its 45th year, BPR continues to cover recovery efforts across all 14 Western North Carolina counties.

  • MANNA FoodBank saw its facilities devastated on September 27, 2024. Staff and volunteers activated disaster plans within 48 hours, opened a central distribution hub, and secured an 84,000‑square‑foot warehouse by week’s end. Today MANNA serves more than 160,000 people each month.

  • Homeward Bound of WNC follows a Housing First model to prevent and end homelessness. Their AHOPE Day Center remains the front door to essential services. Since 2006, they have helped over 2,658 neighbors into permanent homes, including many affected by the storm.

Your purchase will help fuel ongoing relief to WNC residents, from emergency information and food distribution to housing stability, as our region continues to rebuild.
